"Newspapers. Magazines. Photos. Images everywhere. Advertisements on lamp posts, subways and buses, even on cereal boxes, divert the eye. Television, computer screens, store windows; pictures, pictures everyplace. As I walk down the street one image mixes with another. Each one stays in my mind's eye overlapping for a moment with the next one. I decided to use this experience by cutting pictures into strips and interweaving them, creating a whole more telling then its parts. Up close one picture is visible. Stand back and others come together. Look deeply and there's a message there. Just like life."          - Renée Rosen
