Oil on canvas, Watercolor, drawings
Few of Renée's earliest work remains with us. It is a window into her aesthetic eye as a teenager and young adult. As a child she took art classes at the Brooklyn Museum Art School. After High school she was awarded a scholarship to study at the National Academy of Fine Arts in New York City. In addition she studied at the Art Students League, Henry Street Settlement, Educational Alliance, Brooklyn College and Queens College. Among her teachers were Chaim Gross and the three Soyer brothers.
